In reflection of the first project assigned in class I'm a little frustrated. I thought the idea for the project was good, but felt that the direction of goals and guidelines were unclear. Maybe even for the teachers? I found the requirement of the grid to be restricting in designing the board, although I understand the need for neatness and structure within presentation. Included in the initial description of the assignment given in class was that our boards were supposed to be a collage/montage, yet those that chose to use a collage based design were negatively critiqued for it. I guess my point is that I just wish the assignment had been more thought out, understood and presented more clearly.
